How long does the full migration take?
Most clubs complete the migration in 4-8 weeks from kickoff to cutover. The timeline includes setup, member onboarding, a dual-run period, and final cutover. Clubs with complex integrations or large member bases may need 8-12 weeks.
Can I run Glofox and Book & Go in parallel during the transition?
Yes. Many clubs run both systems for 2-4 weeks while members transition. During this period, freeze long-horizon bookings on Glofox (bookings beyond the cutover date) to avoid conflicts.
What happens to existing Glofox bookings?
All bookings made before cutover are honored. Book & Go imports upcoming reservations (next 30-60 days) so members see their existing bookings in the new app.
How do we migrate member wallet balances?
Wallet balances cannot be automatically transferred. Options: (1) manually credit wallets in Book & Go based on Glofox export, or (2) allow members to spend down Glofox credits before cutover.
Do we need to notify Glofox before switching?
Review your Glofox contract for notice requirements. Some agreements have notice periods or early termination fees. Contact Glofox support to discuss your exit plan.
What if our members refuse to switch?
Resistance is rare when migration is well-communicated. Key tactics: (1) early preview access for loyal members, (2) emphasize benefits (your own branded app, tournaments and rankings, built-in POS, zero commission), (3) in-club support during first week. Most clubs see 80%+ adoption within 2 weeks.
Can I get a branded app without upgrading to Glofox Elite?
No. Glofox's Custom Branded Member App is included only on the Elite plan (contact pricing). On Essential and Boost plans, the branded app is an optional add-on with cost not published. Book & Go includes a fully branded white-label app on all plans.
Is Book & Go suitable for boutique gyms like Glofox?
Book & Go supports class scheduling, event registration, and POS features. However, Glofox was specifically built for boutique gyms and fitness studios. If you run a pure gym or fitness studio, Glofox may be a better fit. If you run a court-based sports club that also offers fitness classes, Book & Go is purpose-built for that.
Does Glofox support court-based sports clubs?
Glofox uses class/appointment-based booking that does not translate well to court operations. It lacks court-specific features like court scheduling, tournament management, player rankings, and open-match coordination. Sports clubs typically find Glofox's gym focus a poor fit for court-based operations.
Will I lose features if I switch from Glofox to Book & Go?
No. Book & Go offers equivalent class scheduling, event registration, and POS features. You gain court booking, tournament management, player rankings, open-match coordination, and white-label app — all included.
